The EU parliament has passed a vote with its proposed amendments to the EU AI Act originally drafted by the EU commission. Now the final negotiations begin and they might take some time. Nevertheless, there seems to be enough political pressure and momentum to act swiftly.
For your organisation this means that you should start ramping up your activities:
- Review your org’s strategy and tactics regarding AI.
- Assess product line-up as well as the whole supply chain for AI impact.
- Start drafting processes to deal with this regulation and handling of AI in products and systems in general.
- Plan staff and budget to be able to act as necessary.
