Training
Software Architectures with AI
Outcome: Architects can design performant, compliant, valueable AI architectures.
About the Training
This intensive training with many workshop elements teaches architects all the differences between "classical" and AI-based software architectures. Participants will learn how to design performant, compliant, and value-creating AI products that meet current regulatory requirements.
We certainly don't reinvent the architecture world: Existing best practices are transferred to the AI world. Important changes are covered.
Using a case study, you'll develop your first AI architecture. You'll be familiarized with all important solution approaches for GenAI, such as RAG, Function Calling, Finetuning, Agents, etc. - a solution space that is essential for your daily work.
In this practice-oriented course, you will gain the necessary knowledge and tools to successfully design and document AI architectures.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is this training available in english?
Yes, the training is fully available in english, including slides, excercises and all spoken content.
What technical prerequesites do I need to meet to participate online?
Two online tools are used: Zoom for the online meeting and miro for whiteboard collaboration. A laptop with camera and microphone is also required. We recommend installing the Zoom application and testing it before the workshop begins. When using a company computer, the use of miro must be allowed. This can be tested in advance. Let us know if you need support in testing.
What technical requirements do I need to meet to participate on-site?
None. Laptops etc. are not required, but can be useful for taking notes. For some teaching units, online research may be necessary.
What architectural knowledge do I need for this training?
Basic knowledge of software architecture is required. A specific level or pre-certification is not necessary for successful participation. Hands-on experience with arc42 or other architectural approaches is helpful.
What prior AI knowledge do I need to participate?
None. Specific AI knowledge is not required, as all necessary concepts will be explained in the training.
Openness to the topic of AI and active participation make the event valuable to participants.
Will software programming be part of the workshop? Which AI models or frameworks will we work with?
In this training, participants will learn a lot about terms, approaches, processes, and technologies from the AI field. This new knowledge is very extensive. We will also develop concrete architectures as diagrams and canvases. Due to the short time, we will not get to implementation.
Specific AI knowledge is not required, as all necessary concepts will be explained in the training.
How is the training structured?
This training is taking two days. Each day consists of theoretical units, practical exercises, and discussion rounds. We place great emphasis on interactive learning and the exchange of experiences between participants. It is planned to round off every topic with a practical exercise.
Is the training about AI tools for software architects?
No, this training is not about AI as a means of architecture development, but about AI as a component of systems and software architectures.
Software development and other activities are increasingly being performed with AI support today. This training is about how we properly integrate AI into our software architectures. Traditional methods such as arc42, canvas, whiteboarding, etc. are used for this. Participants are free to also use the AI products already available to them ("bring your own AI"), but this is not required or explained as part of the training.
Will I receive a certificate after completing the training?
Yes, all participants receive a certificate of attendance documenting the topics covered and the scope of the training.
Can the training also be booked as an in-house training?
Yes, we also offer this training as an in-house training tailored to your needs. Please contact hello@algo-consult.com for more information and an individual offer.
